BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Helena von Rueden is an Elliott Associate Professor of Fine Arts and Director of the Choral Program at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Dr. von Rueden is researches access and belonging in group singing, and curates the Expanding Choral Practice Database.
In addition to founding and directing The Piedmont Singers of Central Virginia, Dr. von Rueden maintains an active solo vocal career, as well as a research program dedicated to group singing as a bridge to community building.
